Petropolis

WELCOME TO PETRÓPOLIS!

Sooooo..This week has been emotionally crazy. My companion and I were both transfered being companions and opening a new area. Petrópolis is located on top of MILLION MOUNTAINS and is a very cool, chilly area in the mission. My companion is Sister Oliveira..and I don´t know how to say this, but she is also ending the mission with me..this transfer..WE have no idea what president is thinking, but we saw so many miracles this week together.
Petrópolis is known for the turism part of Rio and so tons of people come from all over the world. I met a Canadian, people from Rodonia Brasil and Pará..etc tons of people all over the world.(:

Here are some quick pictures we snapped during the week.

This is sister Maxwell and Sister Khell that were here in Petrópolis. They were transfered out and Sister Oliveira and I came!
ELDER GARCIA..from MEXICO!! I forgot where he is from exsactly, but I´ll ask him!

Sister Trejo

Hello everyone!!!

I love each and everysingle one of you. As you may know by now..I´m in Petrópolis! It´s one of the moutain area in the mission. Everyone loves it here because there is a breeze that comes through here that there is none other. I left Volta Redonda with my heart full of trusting The Lord knew why we were suppose to come here. Sister Oliveira and I. We are opening a new area and..we are closing as well. Sister Oliveira goes home with me.
We don´t understand completely, but as this week we´ve worked to know the members and find, teach and reactivate everyone that we had in the areabook we are confident that there is a reason we are here. It´s been such a great week, full of miracles. We´ve been able to find so many people and members with just a map and the spirit to lead us! We found a sweet lady anmed Ana Paula with EIGHT children..we taught them..they are excited to go to church. We were just teaching everyone that we find and working our hearts out! We still have TONS of time left.

I´m grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ, I´m grateful for the miracles he preformed while here on earth and taught us as we trust and have FAITH in Him he can truly heal and help us in time of need.

This ward is full of amazing members that are ready to work with us in the Lord´s vineyard. WE are soo excited to help the ward out! FUN FACT! The bishop is american from Washington!!!! He served here 50 years ago and got married here..lives here almos half of his life. HE is cool..Bishop Richard..Eweing.

I love each and everysingle one of you!

Jacob 5:20-23 ( I love the part were the Lord tell his servant he shouldn´t give advice to the Lord) We may always just do what He asks and trust!

love love!!

SISTER TREJO

WE had dinner at the bishops and he made mexican food for us..from things he brought from the USA..like tapatio! Petropolis is also full of stairs that never end..and hills that i can go up on my four.......

Getting transferred already!

I´m a little nervouse as I write this email! TRANSFERS are today! The elders haven´t called us yet, but I just got an email that  said I was going to be transfered. I don´t know yet, but my heart is RIPPED TO PIECES. I don´t know what´s going to happen, but I know this is a trial of faith to see if I will be willing to  go where he wants me to go. I love that hymn because it pretty much applies to everythig in life. I´ll except the calling you give me in..primary, relief society ..etc etc
I love Volta Redonda and I´m grateful for my mission..I know this is not the end, I know that Christ lives and this is his gospel and no matter what happens He is in charge.
The misson president hasn´t said anythig about my extension. but the secretary elders called me this week asked what airport I wanted to fly in-_-...He told other sisters that the area of seventy is letting anyone extend. Waahhhh! I love the Lord´s mission.
This week was soo full of miracles and soo much fun! We´ve been teaching tons of less actives and finding tons of part member families! This week we found Flavia she is 34-35 she´s from Argentina and a RM. A lot of trials happened in her life that made slowly moved her away from the gospel. Yesterday she went to church for the first TIME!!!!!!!!! It was a miracle. She also has a son that is EIGHT th at is ready for baptism! (: We are so excited to help her, she also has a boyfriend that is a nonmeber! Goals to get married,  YES!
We also are teaching spanish and english classes every tuesday and this week we had a good turn out of investigators, one of them actually came to church y esterday! Lacir, he speaks very vey good. He doesn´t live in our area so we are not teaching him, but he is still a child of God and we are loving teaching! The ward is also getting ready for a MEXICAN FIESTA..They asked me tons of opinions and layouts, decorations. I loved it so much. I love this ward soo much.
We have tons of return missionaries in this ward and I love it! They are always willing to go out with us and it´s amazing to learn from them and their teaching styles. I´m grateful for the sprirt that gives us the opportunity to teach in a way our investigators can understand. For example we found an awesome y oung man named Cosme that had gone to church five times but was never baptized because He is really busy..we went out with Jardelir an RM from TErezina that served in São Paulo. WE got the opportunity to find out he is really into geography and science an d doesn´t know if th ebible or the book of mormon is the word of God. My companion and I didn´t really know muc about some of his arguments in physicology or geography he stated, but Jardelir before joining the church research tons of that and was able to BARE a solemn testimony that Christ lived, that the bible is the w ord of God and as we try to search the four corners of this earth we will never know the truth if we don´t exercise our faith Christ.
WE are also teaching many people that love the church and just need that EXTRA FAITH..to take that step into the waters of baptism. We´ve been praying to recieve revelation on how to help them. There is a women name Solange as well that we have been teaching and I LOVE HER! She has been coming to church for 3 months and we just started teaching her 3 weeks ago because of area divisions..she technacally belongs to another ward, but she doesn´t feel comfertable in the other ward etc..so we started teaching her and loves the church. WE are excited to see all our investigators progress and we hope that we can guide them to the path that has brought us the most happiness!

I love being amissionary, It´s been the best thing I´ve EVEER DONE with my life. Like Mark says  34 ¶And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

I know this is Christ church..I know that there is nothing that can ever replace what I feel everyday as I do my best and work for God´s kingdom!(:

ilove the gospel! I hope you all have a great week! I love each and everysingle one of you!!(:

LOVE LOVE!
