EASTER!

Happy easter! Everyone! Thank you soo much for the prayers and letters! This week I recieved tons of them! Thank you Sister Provost for the CD. Thank you so much! So this week was definitely one to remember! On Tuesday we went to a neighboring city called Petropolis for a zone conference with the mission president. On the way my companion started to get a fever of 101! We couldn´t go back because the conference was mandatory so we stayed in Petropolis with my companion litteraly sick. I felt so sad for her. On the way back our mission president drove my companion and I back to Três Rios, It was so nice of him! ( I love the bus, but i love the car way better!) We went to the doctor the next day and she had a type os Zica or Dengue which is the same thing. She stayed home all week. Luckly we have some awesome Sisters serving with us and we had the opportunity to do splits with them! I got to go out with Sister Pammy from Para, Brasil and SISTER SUA from Missouri! It was really fun to see how others sisters work! It was really fun going out with an American such as my self! Sister Sua and I didn´t get lost or confused not even once! Literally the gift of tongues is real! My companion got well enough to go to church on Sunday for easter! I am so grateful for the members here! They took good care of my companion and I. Our refrigirator is full of food for days! On sunday tons of the members brought friends to church! It was truly a miracle! later that day I went out with some of the members while my companion stayed home with other members! I got to see how each and every single one of us make a special part of being hands and intruments of Jesus Christ! This easter was definitely one to remember! With loving members serving one another and trying to be better people! I know that that is what Christ would want of us. I know that we can show lvoe for his sacrifice as we do the things he would do!

I love my savior! I love the restored gospel! I love the way we gt to here from his living prophets! See them live and lds.org!(:

Thank you for th prayers and love Have an amazing week!(:

Alma26:11-12
Thank you soo much for you support and love. Thank you for the letters! Thank you so much for the package. My companion and I loved the peanut butter and candy!
The mission is the best place on earth! There are literally miracles everyday. Tender mercies that show us God does know each and every single one of us! That his hand is there. One of the experiences that I would like to share would have to be from my first are Ubà my first baptism Rosa!  She is an 65 year old women that lives in humble condicions. The missionaries taught her a couple years ago and then she suddenly moved neighborhoods and the sisters found her again! Rosa stopped drinking and smoking three months before the sisters found her and she had been cleaned since! They day of ther baptism my companion and I walked with Rosa to her baptism we walked 1 hour to her baptism where it was preformed and walked back another hour. Rosa can hardly walk to one side of her house to the other..I have no Idea how she walked TWO hours. Not many members have cars here so there was no option of taking a ride. Rosa amazed me as she willingly walked that what seemed long walk under the sun. It made me think if I a convert would have had the faith to walk that to and from my own baptism.
That same are we taught a mother and daughter Jaquelene and Thais! They are locals that have lived in Ubà all their lives. Thais the daughter is 25 she loves to dance and sing. We found her knocking doors and so lovingly except to hear our message! As we taught her and her mom she began to READ and PRAY..she felt that what she was reading was true and her and her mom decided to be baptized! There was so many opossions before they could be baptized like always when we decide to follow Christ. The day before her baptismal inteverview her old boyfriend came to her and wanted contact her..she BRAVELY said no.The day of her baptism the baptismal clothes were no where to be found..someone had locked the door where they have been kept and the person with the keys had left town on vacation.. Thais and Jaquelene so fulled of cheer and excitement for her baptism cheerlfully excepted baptism the next week! That lesson soo hit me so hard in my chest that we as humans are weak and failures. BUT God´s elects are God´s elects and  NOTHING will stop the work from moving forward!
Lastly this week! We planned a family home evening at a members house and inveted 3 investigators. We talked to each of them and went to there house hours before. When we showed up to the fhe they weren´t there..We waited 30 minutes and felt soo sad because we had just talked to them. Our hearts were so sad..we had also made PANCAKES..with maple syrup for them (everyone here is crazy for american food) The Mom of the family suggested we invite her neighbors..`she said Sister Trejo lets go outside and find some inverstigators we are in Brasil and I said okay`..We went outside and some neighborhood kids were sitting outside talking and we said HELLO! Do you want to eat some pancakes? They said yes! We asaid okay we are going to have a short message first. They agreed. Those three teenagers ended up being ELECT! The Dad of the family ended up sharing and aamazing message about easter and how through Christ we can be clean! The oldest Jonathan that´s 19 asked HOW CAN I BE CLEAN?! We said throught faith in Christ, Repenting and being baptized! Jonathan is excited to go to church with us. He couldn´t this last sunday because he works, but this sunday he´s coming! He´s so excited to learn about christ!

My heart is filled with joy, I know without a doubt that this is Christ´s perfect gospel. I know that He lives and he is the head of the church. I know that HEavenly father loves and trust us enough to let us help him in the work of Salvation. I know that each and every single one us can do our part in this MARVALOUS work. It doesn´t matter who we are, or what we did, but who we are willing to be with the help of Christ and the atonement!

Today is my 6 year anniversary! Of being a member! How I am forever grateful for those members that have helped me become the young women I am today. I know i´d be nothing with my loving Heavenly father, My SAvior Jesus Christ and my second family the Garden City ward. May the Lord pour out blessings upon each and everysingle one of you. May we as members also extend our hands to our brothers and sisters that are entering into the fold, may we recieve the with love!

Is my humble prayer in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Tres Rios

Luis Octavio was baptized!

Tres Rios

Hello everyone! Thank you soo much for the emails and the love! How is everyone?!? HAPPY LEAP YEAR! This is so weird! I don´t remember the last time we had a leap year? A
THIS WEEK WAS WONDERFUL! I am definitely not in Ubá or Kansas anymore! haha Everyone here is so great! People in this side of Brasil speak a little more definitely than where I was.. Kind of if we go to Georgia. People h ave an accent muito forte..a stong accent. but it´s soo great! My companion is Sister Prado! She´s from Curitiba! She´s 20 and soo wonderful! She´s been out the same amount of time as me! We didn´t arrive together in the CTM because she´s brasilian and I´m not:( But we go home together..Weird, but anyway! Três Rios is City home to two wards! Ward Três Rios and Ward Vila Isabel. There was one companionship of Sisters serving in each ward up until this transfers when president added two more! So now we have 4 sisters in each ward! Next month Três Rios becomes a stake! Do you know what that means? We need to work hard!(: The Lord sent 8 of us here and it´s soo good and soo different! Coming from Ubá where there was only 2 sisters and now 8. It´s soo good though we have TONS OF WORK to do! The members here are absolutly amazing! I´m soo excited to work with them and build Zion up! This week we mostly got to know the area with my companion Sister Prado..So we were in a companionship of 4 so we could all get to know the area..it´s was a bit intense, but soo good! We also had a BAPTISM this Saturday! Luis Octavio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS WONDERFUL! And definitely was prepared by the Lord. Luis was introduced to the church by his friend three years ago! his friend gave him a Book of Mormon and told him to read and pray about it! That God is the only one that can tell him wether the book id true or not! Luis Octavio in the moment had been throught tons of churches and was currently buddhist! He put the book of Mormon aside and many times he was cleaning and saw it and didn´t have the courage to throw it away..unitl a month ago he was cleaning again and found the book..He read the introduction and read Moroni 10:3-5 where the book itself invites all men to read it and ponder in their hearts and ask God if it´s true! He prayed and read and felt in his heart that it was true! He looked online where the nearest church was and he came to church on Sunday! (The friend that gave him the Book of Mormon lived in another city called Teresopolis 11/2 from Três Rios.) He´s soo amazing! He loves the church already..He went to lds.org and bought doctrine and covenants and tons of church things and his wall paper for his phone is ANGEL MORONI..and do I need to say more?!! He is just ELECT! I´m so happy to have just been, but a testimony that God does hear and answers our prayers! I know The Book Of Mormon is the word of God and it is truly how we can come closer to God. God loves us SOO much he sent ANOTHER testament of JEsus Christ so we can know how to better follow him and be more like him!
I´m soo happy to be here! I the people here I love the gospel! it´s true!(:
I hope each of us can share this week something that has truly brought you the most happiness!
