Alma26:11-12
Thank you soo much for you support and love. Thank you for the letters! Thank you so much for the package. My companion and I loved the peanut butter and candy!
The mission is the best place on earth! There are literally miracles everyday. Tender mercies that show us God does know each and every single one of us! That his hand is there. One of the experiences that I would like to share would have to be from my first are Ubà my first baptism Rosa!  She is an 65 year old women that lives in humble condicions. The missionaries taught her a couple years ago and then she suddenly moved neighborhoods and the sisters found her again! Rosa stopped drinking and smoking three months before the sisters found her and she had been cleaned since! They day of ther baptism my companion and I walked with Rosa to her baptism we walked 1 hour to her baptism where it was preformed and walked back another hour. Rosa can hardly walk to one side of her house to the other..I have no Idea how she walked TWO hours. Not many members have cars here so there was no option of taking a ride. Rosa amazed me as she willingly walked that what seemed long walk under the sun. It made me think if I a convert would have had the faith to walk that to and from my own baptism.
That same are we taught a mother and daughter Jaquelene and Thais! They are locals that have lived in Ubà all their lives. Thais the daughter is 25 she loves to dance and sing. We found her knocking doors and so lovingly except to hear our message! As we taught her and her mom she began to READ and PRAY..she felt that what she was reading was true and her and her mom decided to be baptized! There was so many opossions before they could be baptized like always when we decide to follow Christ. The day before her baptismal inteverview her old boyfriend came to her and wanted contact her..she BRAVELY said no.The day of her baptism the baptismal clothes were no where to be found..someone had locked the door where they have been kept and the person with the keys had left town on vacation.. Thais and Jaquelene so fulled of cheer and excitement for her baptism cheerlfully excepted baptism the next week! That lesson soo hit me so hard in my chest that we as humans are weak and failures. BUT God´s elects are God´s elects and  NOTHING will stop the work from moving forward!
Lastly this week! We planned a family home evening at a members house and inveted 3 investigators. We talked to each of them and went to there house hours before. When we showed up to the fhe they weren´t there..We waited 30 minutes and felt soo sad because we had just talked to them. Our hearts were so sad..we had also made PANCAKES..with maple syrup for them (everyone here is crazy for american food) The Mom of the family suggested we invite her neighbors..`she said Sister Trejo lets go outside and find some inverstigators we are in Brasil and I said okay`..We went outside and some neighborhood kids were sitting outside talking and we said HELLO! Do you want to eat some pancakes? They said yes! We asaid okay we are going to have a short message first. They agreed. Those three teenagers ended up being ELECT! The Dad of the family ended up sharing and aamazing message about easter and how through Christ we can be clean! The oldest Jonathan that´s 19 asked HOW CAN I BE CLEAN?! We said throught faith in Christ, Repenting and being baptized! Jonathan is excited to go to church with us. He couldn´t this last sunday because he works, but this sunday he´s coming! He´s so excited to learn about christ!

My heart is filled with joy, I know without a doubt that this is Christ´s perfect gospel. I know that He lives and he is the head of the church. I know that HEavenly father loves and trust us enough to let us help him in the work of Salvation. I know that each and every single one us can do our part in this MARVALOUS work. It doesn´t matter who we are, or what we did, but who we are willing to be with the help of Christ and the atonement!

Today is my 6 year anniversary! Of being a member! How I am forever grateful for those members that have helped me become the young women I am today. I know i´d be nothing with my loving Heavenly father, My SAvior Jesus Christ and my second family the Garden City ward. May the Lord pour out blessings upon each and everysingle one of you. May we as members also extend our hands to our brothers and sisters that are entering into the fold, may we recieve the with love!

Is my humble prayer in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

Tres Rios

Luis Octavio was baptized!

Tres Rios

Hello everyone! Thank you soo much for the emails and the love! How is everyone?!? HAPPY LEAP YEAR! This is so weird! I don´t remember the last time we had a leap year? A
THIS WEEK WAS WONDERFUL! I am definitely not in Ubá or Kansas anymore! haha Everyone here is so great! People in this side of Brasil speak a little more definitely than where I was.. Kind of if we go to Georgia. People h ave an accent muito forte..a stong accent. but it´s soo great! My companion is Sister Prado! She´s from Curitiba! She´s 20 and soo wonderful! She´s been out the same amount of time as me! We didn´t arrive together in the CTM because she´s brasilian and I´m not:( But we go home together..Weird, but anyway! Três Rios is City home to two wards! Ward Três Rios and Ward Vila Isabel. There was one companionship of Sisters serving in each ward up until this transfers when president added two more! So now we have 4 sisters in each ward! Next month Três Rios becomes a stake! Do you know what that means? We need to work hard!(: The Lord sent 8 of us here and it´s soo good and soo different! Coming from Ubá where there was only 2 sisters and now 8. It´s soo good though we have TONS OF WORK to do! The members here are absolutly amazing! I´m soo excited to work with them and build Zion up! This week we mostly got to know the area with my companion Sister Prado..So we were in a companionship of 4 so we could all get to know the area..it´s was a bit intense, but soo good! We also had a BAPTISM this Saturday! Luis Octavio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS WONDERFUL! And definitely was prepared by the Lord. Luis was introduced to the church by his friend three years ago! his friend gave him a Book of Mormon and told him to read and pray about it! That God is the only one that can tell him wether the book id true or not! Luis Octavio in the moment had been throught tons of churches and was currently buddhist! He put the book of Mormon aside and many times he was cleaning and saw it and didn´t have the courage to throw it away..unitl a month ago he was cleaning again and found the book..He read the introduction and read Moroni 10:3-5 where the book itself invites all men to read it and ponder in their hearts and ask God if it´s true! He prayed and read and felt in his heart that it was true! He looked online where the nearest church was and he came to church on Sunday! (The friend that gave him the Book of Mormon lived in another city called Teresopolis 11/2 from Três Rios.) He´s soo amazing! He loves the church already..He went to lds.org and bought doctrine and covenants and tons of church things and his wall paper for his phone is ANGEL MORONI..and do I need to say more?!! He is just ELECT! I´m so happy to have just been, but a testimony that God does hear and answers our prayers! I know The Book Of Mormon is the word of God and it is truly how we can come closer to God. God loves us SOO much he sent ANOTHER testament of JEsus Christ so we can know how to better follow him and be more like him!
I´m soo happy to be here! I the people here I love the gospel! it´s true!(:
I hope each of us can share this week something that has truly brought you the most happiness!

HELLO EVERYONE!!! How is everyone doing? Thank you soo much for the emails and the love and prayers! Garden City ward, I got your package..Thank you , thank you thank you sooo much! I honestly loved each and everysingle one of the things that was in there.Thank you so much!
The weather here is hot(: It´s summer here and I love it! We changed time zones this weekend so we got to sleep in an extra hour, That was a tender mercy. These last few weeks Sister Paz and I have been working on finding tons of people that want to change their lives and hear the message of the restored gospel! This week was an amazing week! We found TONS and TONS of people that I know God prepared for us! For example Ilda! Ilda is an 73 year old women that we found walking down the street! She is soo sweet and loves the gospel! She came to church with us Sunday and is excited for her baptism! We also ran into family while we were looking for an address! Their names are Luis and Eva and they have 4 children! They are soo great! Luis and Eva aren´t married, but they have such a strong desire to get married! They came to church with us this Sunday and loved it! They said they definitely coming next Sunday!
These last couple of weeks here have been amazing! I can´t believe six weeks have flown by SOO fast! My companion and I recieved a call this morning and we are BOTH getting transferred. My heart is torn into pieces,BUT I KNOW PRESIDENT knows what he´s doing. Ubá will only be for elders now. I´m getting transferred to Três Rios in Rio de Janeiro! I´ll be close to the olympics and they are filming a soap opra there too! I´m excited to share the gospel with them! I´ve learned soo much these last few weeks. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! I know it is restored once again here on earth, I know the proof of that is The book of Mormon. For it is truly the word of god! I promise to all thos who have doubts, fears, questions that are unanwered, read The book of Mormon it was written for our day by prophets of God to help us and guide us!
I know this is the Lord´s kingdom here on earth and our families can be happy as we seek to follow God´s prophets!

I love you all thank you for the love and prayers! Until next week!

The shortest and longest week

HELLO everyone! It´s soo good to hear from all of you this week! I wanted to say thank you soo much for the Christmas cards and letters I recieved! My Heart loves receiving emails, but there is something special about letters! Thank you so much Sister Mills, the Andersons from Lamar,CO and my family! I loved them soo much!
Well as everyone might know we had transfers! I stayed in Ubá and my trainer went to a city called Varginha! She is doing soo well and her birthday is this Friday! If everyone wants to go to google translate and write her a little HAPPY BIRTHDAY OR FELIZ ANIVERSARIO! She truly helped me soo much and I´m so grateful for her! (nildete.trindade@myldsmail.net)
My new companion is Sister Paz! She´s a sister that been out for a year and she´s from Peru! She´s so great! She´s always laughing and smiling! We get along great! These last few weeks have been a lot of finding new people to teach and a tons of rain too! We had 8 days of none stop rain! (Never in my life, living in kansas haha) It was soo great! I don´t know yet if I rather be soaked in rain, or sweat..both are pretty great!(: This week we´ve been working a lot with a family we found knocking doors! Their names are Ana Paula (the mom) Nathanael (the son) and Natasha (the daughter) They are seriously so great! We´ve been teaching the a lot about prayer and Heavenly Father truly does knows and answers our prayers! We´ve also been teaching Ana Paula´s mom named Daulva and her husband! She is living with her grandaughter named Vitoria and we´ve been working with them as well! So it´s one big family that we´ve been visiting! We have also been working a tons with our recent converst Thais and Jaquelene! They are soo great and are an example to me on faith and love! We are preparing for a baptism this weekend of their sister/ daughter Julia! Shes 13 and soo excited for this saturday!
This week we also had interviews with President Cascardi! He´s soo awsome and i´m so grateful for him and his support and role heere oin the mission! Another thing thhat was really great this week was that we had a missionary broadcast on Wednesday solely for missionaries! It was amazing and we heard from different apostles and different presidency on what we as missionaries are here to do and what we can improve on! My heart really was touched to see that the Church is aware of EVERY single missionary in the world and that this is truly The Lord´s kingdom here on earth. I know that as members and missionaries work together the outcome is much better. I know that sharing the gospel doesn´t have to be complicated, but a simple smile that can make a WHOLE difference!
I have a strong testimony that this is Christ´s church and that the teachings that are found here are perfect! We are definitely not, but I know as we stive each day we can ulmitely be better!

Thank you so much for the love, and prayers and support!

Have an amazing week! Don´t forget to smile!
